We are excited to welcome our newest group of summer interns to CCAM. This year’s cohort represents three of our distinguished member universities—Virginia State University (VSU), Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), and Virginia Tech (VT)—bringing together a diverse group of students with strong academic foundations and a shared interest in advanced manufacturing. Their arrival marks the beginning of a dynamic summer of learning, collaboration, and meaningful contribution to CCAM’s research and innovation initiatives.
Throughout the summer, these talented interns will engage in a wide range of technical focus areas aligned with CCAM’s mission, supporting ongoing projects in additive manufacturing, digital manufacturing, materials development, and process optimization. By working alongside CCAM engineers, researchers, and industry partners, they will gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment, applying classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. Their contributions not only support active research efforts but also help drive forward new ideas and perspectives that are critical to advancing the field.
