Honoring Bill Donohue: A Legacy of Leadership in Virginia Manufacturing
GENEDGE has long played a critical role in strengthening Virginia’s manufacturing and technology sectors. As the Commonwealth’s NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) affiliate, the organization supports manufacturers through consulting, training, and programs that drive innovation, competitiveness, and growth.
For more than two decades, Bill Donohue helped translate that mission into measurable impact across the Commonwealth. Serving as President and Executive Director, he led GENEDGE through significant shifts in U.S. manufacturing—guiding companies through supply chain disruption, workforce challenges, and increasing global competition. His leadership consistently focused on practical outcomes and long-term competitiveness for Virginia’s manufacturers.
From CCAM’s perspective, Bill has been a valued contributor on the CCAM Board of Directors, offering insight that strengthened collaboration across Virginia’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem. His ability to connect strategy, industry needs, and partnership opportunities has had a meaningful influence beyond GENEDGE.
As Bill Donohue enters retirement, CCAM recognizes his lasting contributions to the Commonwealth’s manufacturing community and thanks him for his leadership and partnership. We wish him a well-earned and fulfilling retirement.
