CCAM Talks spark insights
Attendees enjoyed a series of CCAM Talks exploring topics across the manufacturing landscape. Highlights included a presentation by WAAM3D—demonstrating the potential of wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) for large-scale production—and insights from Chris Burger, Assistant Vice President of Manufacturing at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), who shared an encouraging outlook for Virginia’s manufacturing growth.

CCAM researchers delivered a variety of live demonstrations featuring cutting-edge technologies and advanced manufacturing innovations — showing how research at CCAM is shaping the future of manufacturing.
Next-generation talent
Former CCAM interns and students from university member institutions presented research posters, sharing their experiences and future aspirations in manufacturing and engineering.
