CCAM is pleased to welcome you to an in-person event to explore Digital Thread technology with demonstrations and workshops.

Below is a list of all event activities. Registration has ended please contact Betsey.Odell@ccam-va.com with any questions.

It is our honor to present Don Kinard, Ph.D. as our key note speaker for this event.

Day 1:
Tuesday, August 30th 8:30am-6:30pm
Theme: Digital Technology to Impact Smart Manufacturing
Location: CCAM: 5520 W Quaker Rd, Disputanta, VA 23842

Join discussions and demonstrations on digital thread technologies to solve manufacturing challenges and build process intelligence. Learn about cutting-edge research that impacts supply chain, sustainment, and distributed manufacturing across industries.

Day 1 Agenda:
8:30am-12:00pm: Opportunities & challenges in digital technology

  • Keynote: Don Kinard, Ph.D. Senior Fellow for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Production Operations. Topic “The Digital T’s – Threads, Twins, Technology, and Transformation”

Dr. Don Kinard is a Senior Fellow for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Production Operations and has been with LM for 36 years. Don supports Digital Transformation as well as programs such as F-35. Prior to his current assignment he was lead for F-35 production rate transition and earlier the Director of F-35 Production Engineering responsible for Joint Strike Fighter Tooling, Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, and Aircraft Systems Testing. Before joining F-35 in 2004 Dr. Kinard held various positions in both Engineering and Manufacturing during his 18 years on the F-22. Don is the lead for the LM Corporate Strategic Technology Advisory program for Advanced Manufacturing as well as the Manufacturing Fellow’s team whose objectives are to develop and share engineering, manufacturing, and sustainment technologies throughout all of the LM business units. His technical interests include materials and structures, digital thread/twin integration, digital transformation, Industry 4.0, manufacturing technology, manufacturing system design, and production management.

* Pre-Event Kick Off:
Monday August 29th 5:45pm-6:45pm
Location: Historic St John’s Church: 2401 E Broad St, Richmond, VA 23223

Please join us for an evening event that is unique and special to Central Virginia. Historic St. John’s Episcopal Church on Church Hill in Richmond is the site of the world-famous Patrick Henry “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech in March 1775 that preceded the American Revolution.

CCAM will host a private re-enactment of this event, with actors from the St. John’s Foundation portraying key figures from that era, including Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, and Colonel George Washington. If you haven’t been before, it’s an exciting and fun time. With our CCAM Team, our Board of Directors, members, and guests in the room, it should be very special.

Registration has ended please contact Betsey.Odell@ccam-va.com with any questions.
