CCAM COVID19 Policy

14.2

Date: March 20, 2020

Dear CCAM and stakeholders,

As we navigate these unsettling and unprecedented times our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our extended CCAM family. Though COVID-19 affects our families, friends and colleagues, CCAM seeks to remain focused on our strategic goals while following the guidelines recommended by the CDC and the Commonwealth of Virginia. For the foreseeable future, CCAM staff who are able will work remotely. As per the Governors suggestion, we will limit building occupants to no more than 10 and follow all recommended guidelines to limit the spread of the virus.

CCAM remains focused on our strategic priorities to execute research and recruit new research staff and members. We are taking advantage of all the tools at our disposable to keep in touch, including hosting virtual tours of the building to potential candidates and hosting conference calls with prospective members.

Above all we seek to:

  • Ensure the health and safety of our people to the best of our ability
  • Take care of each other and look after our loved ones through shutdowns and quarantining
  • Continue to meet our strategic goals

This is an opportunity for us all to take stock and meet challenges head on.

We are operating under the following policies, during these uncertain times.

CCAM is complying with Governor Northam’s request to limit in-person staff to 10 people. Those working inside the CCAM facility are executing the CDC’s recommendations to:

  • Practicing social distancing
  • Wash hands
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Continue to wipe down all surfaces

The CCAM facility is not allowing visitors, and we ask that the staff not to travel until further notice.  All other CCAM staff will work remotely. The high bay area will continue to abide by all previously set forth safety regulation by law.

CCAM leadership will provide updates, no less than one per week, on the status of our operations.
