National MFG Day 2019 at CCAM

CCAM hosted almost 200 students for an MFG Day event on Friday, October 4^th, 2019 as part of a national effort to showcase the reality of modern manufacturing careers and connect with America’s future workforce – students.

Attendees gathered from 8 regional high schools including: Prince George High School, Dinwiddie High School, Petersburg Highschool, Chesterfield Technical Center, Smithfield High School, Bluestone High School, Southside Virginia Community College, Southern Higher Education Center, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, and Virginia State University.

Over the next decade, manufacturers will need to fill 4.6 million jobs.
