Dr. Kyle Schroeder joins CCAM as Adaptive Automation Researcher

CCAM welcomed Dr. Kyle Schroeder to the staff on July 31st. Dr. Schroeder joins the adaptive automation team and will focus on industrial and teleoperated robotics. He spent the last 5 years at SpringActive where he designed combined running and walking control of a powered prosthetic ankle and directed composites modeling and testing efforts for prosthesis spring design. While in school at the University of Texas at Austin he was a graduate research assistant at Los Alamos National Laboratory where his work focused on industrial robotics. Dr. Schroeder received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Robotics and Nuclear Engineering at University of Texas Austin and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. As he gets settled in Virginia, he looks forward to setting up his woodshop where he enjoys woodturning and other woodworking projects. He also enjoys playing strategy games and gardening.
