Dr. Dan Henkel, CCAM Research Manager for Additive Manufacturing, spoke about bridging technical and workforce gaps between additive research and full-scale production. The purpose of the day was to drive actionable solutions to additive manufacturing challenges and resulting technologies to impact readiness and cost for the Department of Defense. Speakers included representatives from the US Navy, Arconic, GE Additive, Siemens, CCAM, Lawrence Livermore National Labs, and Virginia Tech, among others.
Dr. Henkel also participated in a panel with Ed Colvin, Vice President, Technology at Arconic (and CCAM Board Member) and Eric Vazquez, Specialist Leader for Deloitte.
