Dr. Melissa Tsui Joins CCAM's Additive Manufacturing Team

Dr. Melissa Tsui joined CCAM on April 9th as a Researcher for the Additive Manufacturing team. A graduate from VCU and Virginia Tech, Dr. Tsui spent time at CCAM as an intern before being offered a full-time position. Her research at VCU focused on synthesis and characterization of magnetic carbides and oxides nanomaterials.  At CCAM she will focus on modeling and simulation for defect prediction, metallography of additive parts, and data analysis from in-process monitoring. Dr. Tsui received her Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University and her B.S. in Chemistry from Virginia Tech. In her free time, she enjoys video games, tending her vegetable garden, and visiting local breweries.
