The Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) is hosting a Machining Research Day at their facility in Prince George County, Virginia on Wednesday, February 28th. The focus will be on machining technologies. Invited speakers include industry, academic, and government experts. A panel discussion will be held in the afternoon to discuss current opportunities and challenges. Confirmed speakers and panelists include Dr. Tony Schmitz, UNC Charlotte; Dr. Gregory Hyatt, DMG/MORI SEIKI USA; Jason Wells, Kyocera SGS Tech Hub LLC; Bill Durow, Sandvik Coromant; Dr. Steve Turek, Air Force Research Laboratory; Maneesh Khanna, Siemens Energy; Dr. Steven Schmid, National Science Foundation; Dr. Tom McLeay, AMRC; and Mr. Ken Baeszler, GF Machining Solutions; and Dr. Steven Skerlos, University of Michigan.
The event will include a tour of CCAM’s facility. Lunch will be provided. Machining Day will close with a networking reception and poster session. This event is free, but capacity is limited. Please register by February 23, 2018.
