CCAM welcomed Dr. Huda Al-Ghaib to the Adaptive Automation team on December 19th. Dr. Al-Ghaib’s research at CCAM will focus on image processing. She was previously an Assistant Professor at Utah Valley University where she taught Computer Engineering and Computer Science and developed algorithms and computer software for cancer detection. Dr. Al-Ghaib’s research focused on the development of a high frequency (HF) ultrasonic technology for detecting carcinoma on excised tissue for breast, lymph nodes, and skin specimens in conjunction with the Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) at the University of Utah. She has a Ph.D. and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Alabama in Huntsville and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from University of Technology. In her free time, Dr. Al-Ghaib enjoys yoga and outdoor sports including golf, tennis and racquetball. She also likes to spend time with friends and travel.
